Toothbrush ?

How Dangerous is Your Toothbrush?
Beware of news reports claiming millions of fatal germs are living on your toothbrush. These headlines can be misleading says Dr. Nigel Carter of the British Dental Health Foundation. ‘The human body is exposed to germs daily and there’s now evidence to suggest bacteria on your toothbrush will lead to specific oral infections,’ he says.
Any directions beyond general hygiene advice should be viewed cautiously according to Dr. Carter. ‘We don’t know if soaking a toothbrush in an antibacterial mouthwash or sanitiser has any positive or negative effects on oral health,’ he says. ‘Rinsing your brush well, shaking off excess water and drying it out between uses it enough to maintain sensible hygiene. And change it every three months.’
